Undergraduate, Sister Killed in Highway Accident

 
A junior woman and her sister were killed in an automobile crash Wednesday night as they were driving from Princeton to their home in Rochester, NY.

 

Janet L. Cruikshank '80, 20, died of head injuries shortly after the car in which she was riding was struck from behind and flipped over on Interstate 81 near Syracuse, NY.

 

Jill Cruikshank, 23, was killed instantly in the collision.  She had come to Princeton to take her younger sister and two other undergraduate women home for the Thanksgiving holiday.

 

The driver of the second car, a 38-year-old Liverpool, NY man, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding, according to police.  He was not injured.

 

Janet Cruikshank graduated in 1976 from the Harley School in Rochester.  At Princeton, she majored in biology.  She was also a member of Charter Club.
